Twine & Dine: Return to Home
compliments, charisma, and advertisements

I have a mixed cd in my truck right now that I’ve been listening to a lot these past few days. One of the songs that I find myself going back to often is “Supernatural” by Vic Chesnutt. I guess this guy’s been writing songs since he was five… what was I doing when I was five? Drawing on the bathroom walls with orange crayon, that’s what.

Anyway, I’m not sure if it’s his voice or the lyrics but something about this song draws me… it’s haunting and tragically beautiful. And kind of sad.

Vic Chesnutt once said, “Other people write about the bling and the booty. I write about the pus and the gnats. To me, that’s beautiful.” Makes sense to me.
